I've already bought two albino sturgeons here. They're in top condition and doing well. I've also had illnesses with my own koi. They arrived promptly, checked everything thoroughly, and were quickly treated. Everything was explained well, step by step. It's also a beautiful shop with gorgeous koi. Definitely recommended.

We're so happy with our new pond! AB Koi Marum has done a fantastic job – they're neat, thoughtful, and everything is perfectly finished. AB Koi has extensive knowledge of koi, and the fact that they travel to Japan every year to select fish speaks volumes about their passion. Highly recommended!

I recently had problems with one of the pumps. Because of a leak, it couldn't wait for me and the fish. I texted Arjan and got a call right away. Arjan was busy with various construction projects both at home and abroad, but he still came by quickly on Saturday afternoon to fix the problem. If you're not handy yourself, you simply depend on them. Top-notch service, 5 stars!

True passion and top quality at AB Koi Marum! I'm incredibly satisfied with AB Koi Marum! Auke and Arjan really take the time to help you. The koi themselves are top-notch. You can tell they treat the fish with passion and love. Everything looks clean and well-cared for, from the ponds to the shop itself. AB Koi Marum is my regular dealer. I've known Arjan and Auke for years as very pleasant and professional people in the koi world. I've had the pleasure of accompanying them to Japan several times, and their selections there are very thorough and carefully done! They also have a good relationship with the breeders there. The koi they sell offer excellent value for money, partly because of these factors. Lots of passion and dedication! Keep up the good work!

What a wonderful and accessible company. High quality and very knowledgeable. They are always ready to offer advice. Arjan always responds super quickly to questions. For several years now, I've only bought koi from Arjan and his father, Auke. (AB Koi) Despite the three-hour travel time 😔, the trip to Marum is always worth it. This year I bought two fish that will stay in Azukari in Japan: super happy with them. The fish that Arjan buys every year during a month-long trip to Japan are high quality and "something for everyone." The care and quarantine in Marum lasts at least 4-5 months, during which the fish are continuously screened. As a hobbyist, I've learned: don't buy your fish from "just any koi shop," but buy them from a single dealer! This minimizes the chance of problems when purchasing new fish. Arjan and Auke: thank you!

The quality of the fish is top-notch: strong, healthy koi and a beautiful, varied selection. They're also the right place for pond building. He truly considers your specific situation and helps you find practical solutions for filters, pipes, pumps, and the best layout for your pond. That extra bit of thoughtfulness makes all the difference. I always feel good when I come here and leave feeling even better. For me, it's the place in the North for koi, pond building, and honest advice.
